Also known as polypropene or PP, polypropylene is an opaline plastic that is non-reactive to multiple chemicals. It can be manufactured in sheet form, in film or even in textile fiber. PP is also used for injection manufacturing.

In an economical and lightweight version, polypropylene is used for the manufacture of Coroplast® sheet.

Given its excellent mechanical properties, polypropylene is a hard plastic, easily resistant to abrasion, deformation, humidity and impact. Polypropylene adapts well to high temperatures, thus allowing sterilization. However, the properties of plastic can be altered by exposure to very low temperatures or even UV rays.

Polypropylene is a plastic which is used in several areas, including the food, pharmaceutical, chemical and automotive industries. It is also used in the textile industries as a synthetic fiber for upholstery fabrics, ropes, rugs and carpets.

Polypropylene allows:

- Table saw cutting

- CNC cutting

- CNC engraving

- Hot folding

- Mechanical assembly with screws

Polypropylene is available in thicknesses from 3/16’’ to 1 ½’’ in opal white.

The sheets are sold in 48” x 96” format. Other formats available upon request as well as tubes and rods.
