Acetal is a very versatile hard and heavy plastic. Easily machinable, it allows the manufacture of high precision parts. Its low moisture absorption makes it a remarkable material for use in very hot (82°C), dry or humid environments. Often compared to nylon, acetal has excellent electrical properties in addition to having good resistance to friction.

Its self-lubricating qualities make it a popular material in industrial sectors, among others for machinery or conveyor parts. You also find acetal in the food, medical, pharmaceutical and optical industry’s.
